Today, Wendy LeGate gives to this breed a promise of continued legacy from the direct bloodlines of Justin, through Jubilee King and down to the current reigning stallion, Canyon of Quietude.  The Foundation Morgan horse history, legacy, strength, beauty and endurance are cared for by her un-bridled passion.  Wendy offers Stud Services with a Private Treaty fee and shipped Semen or Live Cover through her breeding program.  She also has for sale Fillies and Colts of the next generation in the Justin Morgan Foundation horse bloodline.  Please feel free to contact her with any inquiries at Stud Services

As part of her Morgan breeding program, Wendy breeds mares having the good blood from all the Morgan families - Western Working Family, Old Vermont, Brunk, Government and old Midwest.  She works closely with other Morgan Horse Breeders to bring to foal the best of the old families who were bred for true Morgan type and using ability.

RanchBoss Black Star had her foal by RanchBoss Cortez on March 24th, 2006.  This colt is significant - due to being a double, Teluras Black Gold.  On the new colt's sireline, he is a grandson of the late great Primavera Valdez.

Sold to Donna DeAmaral of Singing Heart Ranch in Arizona.   Donna will be using Shaman as a stallion and will be crossing him to Fresian mares for the result of what is called a Moriesian. She chose Shaman for his Morgan type, beautiful head and compact body to compliment and improve upon the Fresian.  The Fresian will add size.  Her goal is to create a horse that has the presence of the Fresian, but one that is smaller with a smoother ride and with more longivity.  Shaman will be put under saddle and promoted for Morgan mares as well as Fresian mares.

OGO Primavera Black Gold "Shaman" - Birth to 3 months

NEW Foal!!  Introducing...OGO Primavera Black Gold - born March 24th at 6:00 a.m. on the button!
I had been up and down all night and early mornings for over a week.  RanchBoss Black Star (Black Velvets Dark Knight x Teluras Black Gold) bred to RanchBoss Cortez (Primavera Valdez x Teluras Black Gold) was due Saint Patrick's Day.  As big as a barn, she still had not foaled.  I could tell by the way she was acting that foaling was eminent but I knew she preferred to be alone to give birth. I literally told her out loud that I was going to go in the house for 1 hour and would not be trying to peek at her cross-my-heart-hope-to-die-stick-a-finger-in-my-eye.
Sure enough, 1 hour later I open the back door up a crack to peek out and there is a foal just emerged still attached by the umbilical cord.  I quietly went out and fed the adjacent horses so they wouldn't be worrying about their breakfast.    Then I put hay in Black Stars bin and brought her pan of grain to her.   I got a bucket of water knowing she would be thirsty - but unwilling to travel down to the end of the pasture to the water trough. After she drank her fill and began to munch on her grain, I turned my attention to the foal who was now standing. A beautiful black colt with a big star in the center of his forehead and a sliver of a snip near his right nostril.
OGO Primavera Black Gold was born on March 24th at 6:00 AM on the button. This colt is significant - due to being a double, Teluras Black Gold (now deceased) who was a pure California Working Western mare of the finest Foundation bloodlines.  On the new colt's sireline, he is a grandson of the late great Primavera Valdez. Thus, this colt's name is a tribute to both his grandsire and his grand dam.
